We had the pleasure of welcoming a select group of 8 travel professionals from Australia on an unforgettable familiarization trip that blended Mykonos‘ coastal allure with the historical magnificence of Athens. Designed to immerse them in the authentic Greek experience, the program seamlessly combined exploration, leisure, and refined hospitality.
The Aegean Welcome
The journey began with a warm arrival in Mykonos, where guests were welcomed at a stunning seaside resort overlooking Elia Beach. After a relaxed check-in, the group gathered for welcome drinks, setting the tone for the days ahead with relaxed conversation and sea breeze.
The next day was dedicated to discovering the property’s extensive facilities, with opportunities for lounging, and enjoying drinks by the water. That evening, the group enjoyed a lively Greek dinner featuring local Flavors and traditional ambiance.
Adventure and Discovery
The third day brought an air of adventure with a 4×4 jeep exploration of the island’s interior, including a visit to a traditional farm and a scenic lunch stop. A sunset stroll through the island’s iconic whitewashed town and charming waterfront quarter followed, capped with a cozy dinner under the stars.
On day four, the group enjoyed spa and wellness treatments at the hotel, and few had a refreshing swim. A relaxed afternoon led into a farewell dinner in Mykonos—an elegant and memorable way to close the island chapter.
Athenian Grandeur
On the fifth day, the group flew to Athens to continue their journey into the heart of classical heritage. A guided visit to the Athens City Center and a leisurely walk through the Plaka district and around Acropolis brought ancient history to life. After a hearty lunch in a traditional setting, the guests were transferred to a luxurious urban resort, where they checked in and enjoyed a sunset tour of the property, followed by a hosted dinner.
Farewell, For Now
The trip concluded on the sixth morning with a relaxed breakfast and smooth transfers to the airport for flying to IMEX in Frankfurt. Though brief, the journey managed to capture the essence of Greece’s multifaceted appeal—from sun-kissed shores to historic splendor.
This FAM trip served as an inspiring glimpse into what Greece can offer discerning groups: a blend of curated experiences, local charm, and exceptional service.
