A jaw-dropping Dior fashion show was held in Athens at the Panathenaic Stadium (the Athens Old Olympic Stadium) in June for the major fashion house’s “Dior Cruise 2022” collection.
The setting of the show at the world-famous, historically significant, and most importantly Grecian “Kallimarmaro” stadium is a nod to ancient Greece, which acts as a huge inspiration for Dior.
This is not the first time that Dior has sought to hold a fashion show in Greece- the show in June succeeds a Dior show held in Athens at the Acropolis in 1951 which saw models pose in front of the Caryatids, mirroring their grace and taking a cue from their impressive outerwear.
More and more high-end brands, the likes of Dior, are choosing Athens and Greece in general for their international product launches.
